Man of Music

Allesandro is a 25-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and home producer from Windsor, Ontario. With a passion for catchy melodies, vocal harmonies, and experimental do-it-yourself recording techniques, Allesandro has a defined, yet diverse hunger for music. Specializing in the genres of pop, rock, and jazz, he has a catalogue of 400+ cover songs spanning the last century of music, most of which he knows by heart. Whether it’s guitar, piano, bass, drums, percussion or ukulele, Allesandro is no stranger to the stage and studio.

Since the age of five, he has been performing around Windsor-Essex County, including the Detroit Jazz Festival, St. Clair College Centre for the Arts, LaSalle Strawberry Festival, and Kingsville Folk Music Festival, and has shared the stage with established acts such as April Wine, Honeymoon Suite, Night Ranger, and his father’s band Destroyer: Canada’s KISS Tribute. When he was only sixteen, he wrote and recorded the winning theme song for The Morning Drive with Mike and Lisa, a popular local talk show on CKLW. Allesandro studies Jazz/Pop at the University of Windsor School of Creative Arts, working towards Bachelor’s Degrees in Music and Education.

Recently, Allesandro created an ethnomusicology project that sought to finish an incomplete Beach Boys demo from the 1970s. Having grown up inspired by Brian Wilson and the "California Sound", he finished the song—arranging, recording, and producing it at home, while layering all the instruments and harmonies himself. The project caught the attention of original Beach Boy Al Jardine, who invited Allesandro backstage to bring copies of the song when Brian Wilson, Blondie Chaplin and himself were performing at Caesars Windsor during their Pet Sounds 50th Anniversary tour. The song and story sparked a string of media attention across Southwestern Ontario, echoing as far as California. Allesandro was interviewed on CTV and CBC Radio One, with an accompanying article that was subsequently picked up by CBC News Toronto and Montreal and shared by Endless Summer Quarterly, The Beach Boys official publication of record. The story was featured on the front cover of Lakeshore News, as well as the Tecumseh Shoreline, LaSalle Post, 519 Magazine, and The Drive Magazine.

Allesandro is a founding member of pop/rock quartet Midnight Metro, who’s latest album Flamingo recently took the #1 spot on CJAM FM’s Top 30 Albums chart. For over five years they have been performing their beachy, gritty, alt-pop tunes at local hot spots. Allesandro has released two albums with Midnight Metro, and a solo release entitled Around You, available on all streaming and download platforms.
